Then I went to StitchDiva studios' website to see what a cable join is. Then I did it. 
That is the right side. Here is the wrong side. 
As you can see, there IS a right and wrong side. The wrong side join is much flatter with the cable join than it is with the single crochet join.
Next experiment, Pagan, will be making an edge on my HPL.
