Another FO!

I'm on a streak. A slow streak, but hey, I'll take it. I finished my shawlette, Three. It took me 3 failures before I found a pattern that would work with the Rumple silk boucle yarn. I can totally see why most people did the pattern for the shawl that came with the yarn. Which was a rectangular k1yo type pattern. I wanted something more substantial. So I eventually cast on 3 stitches and marked the center stitch. Then I did a yo before and after that stitch on the knit rows and purled back. I did a garter stitch 3 stitch border on the edges to keep it from rolling.

I am quite pleased with this. Now I just need to buy a pretty shawl pin. Etsy here I come!

Looks lovely! I am a fan of boucle yarns but I agree, not always easy to find something they actually work in. Love the colors.
Very pretty. :)
Very pretty. I think the knitting needle makes a unique and lovely pin for it. :-)
ometimes the yarn needs to stand out, and the pattern has to recede. It has taken me a long time and many epic fails to learn this. I have a similar type of yarn that I have tried over and over again to use. I think I need to do something simple and elegant like you did. Nice job.
Very nice - great pattern choice!
Beautiful, and such gorgeous colors! I frequently make several starts before the yarn finds the pattern it wants to be. Yarn can be very determined and outspoken.
That's Stephanie aka Yarnharlot's shawl pattern, isn't it? It's a good one for a whole lot of yarns. Beautiful shawlette!
